Dr. Audrey Smith

Dr. Audrey Dr. McCollum-Smith was born to Mr. Michael Gaines, Sr. and Missionary Cheryl Bonds-McCollum on October 20, 1986. As a child, her mother married Jeffery McCollum, Sr. who adopted her twin sister and her. Growing up in the church under the Church of God in Christ (COGIC) Pentecostal faith, she too knew the hand of God was on her life.

As a part of a ministry, Dr. Smith learned how to pray and was moved of the Holy Spirit to become an intercessor for the Lord. Upon accepting her call to the ministry in 2011, Dr. Smith began working in various ministries of the church and preaching the word of God. In March of 2021, Dr. Smith met Bishop Nate (Pastor Smith at the time) but didn't know who he was. Later on, he found her on Facebook having posted a scripture in her story. From there, they began conversation to learn more of each other. It took Bishop Nate two attempts to get her to date him and eventually she consented. Then surprisingly, on Sunday, August 8th, at Houston's restaurant, Bishop Nate proposed and asked for her hand in marriage in which she said YES! On January 1st, 2022, they had a private ceremony to tie the knot and kept their initial wedding date of March 19, 2022 to make it public.

Dr. Smith is an educator, working with students with exceptional disabilities. She holds an associates, a bachelors, two masters, an Ed.S, and a Doctorate in Theology in Church Leadership and Administration.

Since married, Bishop Nate and Dr. Smith share two beautiful daughters together, Natalia Ariella Jai and Nyla Ayana Jai, who bring so much joy, love, and happiness into their lives. She loves her bonus daughters and being a "Nana" to her grandchildren. Above all, Dr. Smith loves the Lord, her family, working in ministry with her husband, and helping and guiding youth to make wise decisions and  something great of their lives.
